Judging

 

Point system with increments of 0.5 as lowest. 

Example of Acceptable score: 19.5 

Example of unacceptable score 19.7

 

Timing: 

Maximum: +20 pts 

Minimum: +0.5 pts

Connection: 

Maximum: +20 pts 

Minimum: +0.5 pts

Synchronisation: 

Maximum: +20 pts 

Minimum: +0.5 pts

Interpretation: 

Maximum: +20 pts 

Minimum: +0.5 pts

Choreography: 

Maximum: +20 pts 

Minimum: +0.5 pts

Penalty: 

-5 pts

 

Total of 100 pts per judge in a show is a perfect score. 

 

During opening rounds:

Each contestant will be judged with score sheets based on:

1. Timing

2. Connection

3. Synchronisation

4. Interpretation

5. Choreography

 

During Semi-Finals:

Each contestant will be judged with score sheets based on:

1. Timing

2. Connection

3. Synchronisation

4. Interpretation

5. Choreography

6. Point deduction -5 per infraction.

Any Penalties will be announced to the judges for subtraction of 5 points per penalty the dancer(s) have incurred.

 

During Finals:

1. Timing

2. Connection

3. Synchronisation

4. Interpretation

5. Choreography

Open scoring system during finals.

Each Judge will hold up their dry erase board to the public to ensure fair & public judging in the finals.

Each Judge will get to speak their mind on their score for the dancers to hear & get on the spot feedback.

Any Penalties will be announced to person adding the totals. It is not -5pts per judge but only -5pts from score total.

In case there is a tie, the Judges will have to vote, dancer(s) with most votes wins.
